A smash cake is normally your child's first taste of sugar at age 1. Our smash cakes are 10cm diameter with 3 layers of sponge/2 layers of filling and made with lower sugar content than my standard cakes. Our smash cakes are always vanilla with a plain yoghurt filling and light buttercream icing. Cakes are nice and soft for your baby to get its hands in there to smash and squish between their fingers.
